About the course

A three-year, 180-credit bachelor’s taught in English, leading to a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics with a major in Business Administration. Year 1 covers the foundations of business, economics, statistics, organisation, finance and marketing. Years 2 and 3 focus on international management, global strategy, leadership, supply chain management and corporate finance, and end with a thesis. You can also take electives, a semester abroad at a partner university, or an internship.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Jönköping University accepts the Irish Leaving Certificate for general entry. It does not accept predicted grades, and Irish final-year students cannot get conditional admission, so you must apply with your final Leaving Cert results.
  • Specific requirements: Mathematics 3b or 3c, Civics 1b (or 1a1+1a2) and English 6. JU’s Irish equivalents are Ordinary Level Maths for Mathematics 3b, and Ordinary Level Social Studies, Economics, Sociology, History or Geography for Civics 1b.
  • English: JU treats Ordinary Level Leaving Cert English as meeting English 6.

Costs

  • No tuition fee for EU/EEA citizens, including Irish citizens. JU says tuition fees do not apply to EU/EEA citizens; the full fee for others is 345,000 SEK. No application fee for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens (others pay 900 SEK). You must upload a copy of your passport or EU/EEA ID card.
JU does not accept predicted grades or give Irish final-year students conditional admission, so most Irish students apply once they have their Leaving Cert results, usually in a gap year. Tuition is free for EU citizens.
