About the course

A three-year (180-credit) business degree at Jönköping International Business School, taught entirely in English. It leads to a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics, with a focus on sustainability and on renewing businesses. Year 1 covers core business subjects (accounting, marketing, microeconomics) plus an introduction to sustainability and systems thinking. Year 2 covers sustainable finance, innovation leadership and statistics, and includes an elective semester. Year 3 covers entrepreneurship and venture development, research methods and digital transformation, and ends with a 15-credit thesis. Teaching is problem-based and hands-on.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Jönköping University accepts the Irish Leaving Certificate. It does not accept predicted grades, and Irish final-year students cannot get conditional admission, so you must apply with your final results. For general entry, University Admissions in Sweden requires at least six subjects, with at least two at Higher Level.
  • Specific requirements in the latest published syllabus: English 6, Mathematics 3b (or 3c) and Civics 1b (or 1a1+1a2). JU’s official Irish equivalents are: Mathematics 3b = Ordinary Level Maths, and Civics 1b = Ordinary Level Social Studies, Economics, Sociology, History or Geography. Higher Level Maths is not required.
  • English: JU treats Ordinary Level Leaving Cert English as meeting English 6. University Admissions sets the minimum at O6 (or D).
