About the course

A three-year (180 credits), English-taught, full-time daytime bachelor’s programme in Malmö that starts on 30 August 2027. You learn sketching, prototyping and testing for digital products, physical making (such as 3D printing and laser-cutting) and basic programming, with theory alongside. In the fifth semester you can specialise, do an internship or study abroad, and the final semester is an independent thesis project. Former students say it led them into UX (user experience) design work.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • University Admissions in Sweden accepts the Leaving Certificate for general entry if you took at least six subjects, with at least two at Higher Level. Places are ranked on final results and predicted grades are not accepted.
  • There are no subject requirements beyond general entry and English. Places are ranked 66% on school grades and 34% on the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (SweSAT). SweSAT is optional and only available in Swedish, so Irish applicants compete in the grades group.
  • English: the programme requires English 6, and a Leaving Cert English result of Ordinary Level grade 6 (O6, or D) or better meets it.
