About the course

A full-time, three-year English-taught bachelor leading to a Bc. degree (equivalent to a BSc). It covers business economics, finance, management and accounting, with electives, and prepares graduates for economic and management roles or for running their own business.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • EUBA publishes no Leaving Cert grade or subject rules. You need complete secondary education and must pass its entrance exam. To enrol, your Leaving Cert must be formally recognised by a Slovak Regional Office of School Administration (in the region where you live or where the university is). You can apply while this is under way, but you must hand in the recognition by enrolment day. The Slovak authorities say recognition can take up to two months, so start as soon as you have your results.
  • Online entrance exam in the last week of March 2027, marked automatically by computer. It has an aptitude test (25 questions on economics, international economic relations, law, political science and financial literacy at secondary-school level, plus logical thinking and basic maths) and an English test (25 questions on everyday vocabulary and grammar). The maximum is 200 points in total. You must reach at least the 60th percentile in each test. No waivers are granted, and you can sit the exam only once a year.
  • No external English certificate is needed, because EUBA tests English in its own entrance exam. Leaving Cert English does not exempt you from the test, as EUBA grants no waivers.

How to apply

  1. Apply online, 1 Jan-28 Feb 2027Fill in the application on EUBA’s e-prihlaska portal and pay the 90 euro fee by SEPA bank transfer before the deadline.
  2. Send your documentsUpload or email scans of the required documents, and post a certified true copy of your school-leaving certificate in English or Slovak.
  3. Sit the entrance exam, late March 2027Take the online aptitude and English tests. EUBA publishes sample tests for both on its website. You get one attempt per year.
  4. Get your Leaving Cert recognised before enrolmentDecisions arrive by post in late April 2027. Once your Leaving Cert results are out in August, apply straight away to a Slovak Regional Office of School Administration for recognition, and bring it by enrolment day for a September 2027 start.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Applications run from 1 January to 28 February 2027 through the online portal. You upload or email scans of your documents, and you also post a certified hard copy of your school-leaving certificate. The entrance exam is in the last week of March 2027, and decisions go out by post in late April 2027. The programme starts in September 2027. The programme page also says all parts of the test must be completed by 15 March 2027, which conflicts with the late-March exam date, so confirm the exam date with EUBA..

Costs

  • EUBA’s programme page lists tuition for this English-taught bachelor as 0 euro. There is a 90 euro application fee, paid by SEPA bank transfer only (cards are not accepted). If the fee is not paid in time, the application is deleted.
The deadline of 28 February comes before you sit the Leaving Cert, and admission depends on a late-March entrance test. You then need your Leaving Cert recognised in Slovakia by enrolment day, so apply for recognition as soon as your results come out in August.
