About the course

This is a US Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from City University of Seattle, accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and taught in English at VSM in Bratislava. Entry requirements for Irish students

  • VSM asks for a high school diploma or equivalent, officially translated into English. An Irish Leaving Certificate is already in English. VSM does not publish any subject, level or grade rules for the Leaving Cert. In Slovakia, a foreign school-leaving certificate normally has to be recognised by a Regional School Administration Office, which can take up to two months, so confirm with VSM admissions whether you need this.
  • There is no entrance exam or interview. Admission requires a signed application form, your school diploma and payment of fees.
  • English: VSM accepts TOEFL iBT 76, IELTS 6.0, Duolingo 100 or Cambridge First, or graduation from an English-speaking high school. A Leaving Cert from an Irish school should meet this, but confirm with VSM.

How to apply

  1. Apply onlineFill in VSM’s electronic application form, then print and sign it.
  2. Send documentsPost the signed form, verified copies of your Leaving Cert results and proof of the €50 application fee to VSM, Panónska cesta 17, 851 04 Bratislava. Ask whether you also need Slovak recognition of your Leaving Cert.
  3. Pay tuitionIn the 2026 cycle, tuition had to be paid by 31 August to get access to online registration.
  4. RegisterRegister online through VSM’s ESO system. BSBA registration in 2026 was on 16–17 September.

BSBA registration then took place on 16–17 September 2026. Expect a similar timeline for 2027 entry, but apply well before the summer so there is time for recognition of your Leaving Cert..

Costs

  • VSM lists BSBA tuition for 2026/27 as €3,365 for one year (45 credits). This is a private institution, so the fee is not waived for EU citizens. One-off fees include a €50 application fee, and VSM also lists a €150 pre-evaluation fee and a €500 reservation fee. There are small annual charges, such as the student card (€30 for daily students), and an €8 materials and software fee per BSBA course. Confirm the 2027/28 fee with VSM.
This is a private college, and the BSBA is an American degree awarded by City University of Seattle, not a standard Slovak public-university bachelor. Before you commit, check how it is recognised in Ireland and whether the dual option also gives you a Slovak degree.
