About the course

A law degree built on the core areas of contract, tort, criminal, administrative and constitutional law, with a strong focus on comparing legal problems and solutions across different jurisdictions.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Irish Leaving Certificate with at least 6 accepted subjects, at least 2 of them at Higher Level with H1-H4, and a minimum of 350 CAO points calculated over 6 academic subjects. The Leaving Certificate Applied is not accepted.
  • No specific maths or science subject is required for this programme.
  • Proof of English is required (IELTS Academic 6.0 with 5.5 in Writing and Speaking, or equivalent). Ireland is not on the automatic exemption list, but an official school statement confirming your programme was taught in English can be used as proof.

How to apply

  1. Register in StudielinkChoose ‘B Global Law’ in Studielink by 1 May 2027.
  2. Complete OSIRIS AanmeldWithin 48 hours you get login details. Upload passport, grades, CV and English proof, and pay the €100 application fee by 1 May 2027.
  3. Admission decisionThe Admissions Committee decides within 4 to 6 weeks of a complete application; offers based on predicted grades are conditional.
  4. Mandatory matchingComplete and upload the Matching Form (programme and motivation questions) by 1 July 2027. Programme starts late August 2027.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: 1 May 2027, 23:59 CET (Studielink registration and all documents in OSIRIS Aanmeld).

Costs

  • Standard Dutch EU fee: €2,694 (2026/27). The 2027/28 fee is set by the Dutch government each year (expected to be close to €2,800).
  • EU students may be eligible for a Dutch tuition-fee loan (DUO).
Open-entry course: if you meet the requirements, you get a place. A €100 application fee applies to non-Dutch diplomas.
