Costs

  • Tio is a private university of applied sciences, so the statutory Dutch fee does not apply. The EU tuition fee for 2027/28 is €24,950 a year, plus a one-off €250 enrolment fee (€25,200 in the first year). The fee includes study materials, the third-year study trip, projects and exam fees. A €5,000 tuition deposit, credited against your fee, is required before Tio arranges housing. You can pay in one sum before 1 August (with a €350 discount) or in 12 monthly instalments. Tio says fees may be indexed each year for inflation. Optional extras: introduction days (€350) and a wine study (€650).
  • EU students may be eligible for a Dutch tuition-fee loan (DUO).
Open-entry course: if you meet the requirements, you get a place. Tio is private and charges about €25,000 a year, far above the standard Dutch fee.
